The games new date is not officially Sept 4. They might delay it even further. So don't assume that the delay isn't long enough, when the real time of the delay isn't confirmed.
If there's a delay call me crazy, but I do think there's a good chance it had something to do with early reviews. The developers indicated they were aware of the reviews. Depends on the lengh of the delay but I find it weird that the game is delayed at all after it had gone gold already and was planned ...

To some people it's just a game but Resident Evil 5 does depict black people pretty seriously. They do a good job of making them look creepy and they look sorta monkeyish in this game. I don't think Capcom is racists of course but they might of made a mistake by choosing this horror setting and trying to bring hell to life in the form of Africa and black people as monsters.

To some people it's just a game, but you can't deny RE5 really sells black people, they make them look pretty creepy and monkeyish at times. So to gamers it's just a game but some people will get offended. You need to be careful with what you do. I won't be surprised if this is just the first of many complaints about this game.

People are buying whatever the hell is cheaper. PS3 started selling better when it cut to $499 if XBOX 360 cuts it's gonna sell better, and that will probably force PS3 to cut again. I still believe there will probably be a $399 PS3 sku out this holiday. I just don't think Sony is gonna sit back and watch 360 get all the sales because it's way cheaper. That would cost them more in the long run.
